Anyone know what adapter I need for testing the compression at the glow plugs.

Any ideas on a good inexpensive tester?

The Kent Moore tool we use is J 26999-20 (http://service.gm.com/servlets/RetrieveTif?pic=675120). Snap On also has one EEPV312A. I paid $40 for the Snappy one. You also need an adapter for the Snappy tool to connect to your gauge M3569.

Ended up going to the local harborfreight. They had a diesel compression tester(1000psi) and all the adapters for the unheard of price of $17.99. Might not stand up to comm. use, but worked fine for me today.

Yes PK, looks good. 330psi and less than 3% difference per cyl. Nice to have that piece of mind for 17.99 and a couple hours work.

good to hear rob, i want one of those compresion testers, any more info on finding one
