: Small 18:1 Burnout
CanadianRigger 03-30-2006, 06:54 PM 1 or 2 of you guy's wanted to see a burnout so i felt i was obligated to video tape a little burnout through 1st and 2nd gear. :D
You can check it out here (http://www.dieselfever.com/videos.htm).
I'll be putting in the lift kit and new rubber on by tuesday so i have enough rubber for another 1 or 2 burnouts yet.
specialagentPK 03-30-2006, 06:57 PM Yep can tell its alberta, nice burnout good to see your truck is runnin nice.
94blazer6.5 03-30-2006, 07:04 PM That's cool CR, see if you can get them hot enough to catch on fire:lol: :joke: Nice to see a 6.5TD put'n down :ro)
BlazeOneUp 03-30-2006, 07:05 PM Oh man thats awesome! Maybe one day the Blazer will do that...
CanadianRigger 03-30-2006, 07:26 PM I've added a second one, it wasn't that great as traffic was coming and i wasn't sure how much rubber i had left at the time... lol
Nick you still want dem tires of mine???
nickg 03-30-2006, 08:33 PM Russel
I think I'll pass on the tires, seeing as the 40% remaining looks alot like 5% remaining..... I'll have to post mine Smoking the 35in tires
So I'm guessing the 6.5 is well broke in now?
Hey do you supose the tire manufacture will warrentee pre-mature tire wear? would that be considered Road Hazard???

:lol2:
The only "road hazard" would be CR's right foot!!
Chicago TDP 03-30-2006, 11:20 PM Nice dude, gotta get someone to tape me know, I have a few good ones, maybe I will get some photos.
I really have to fight my rear brakes though, they were all just replaced, so nice and tight.
CanadianRigger 03-30-2006, 11:55 PM Yeah the rear brakes can be a drag (pun intended). Usually i have a ton of black smoke from the exhaust but in the videos i just walked into it slowly. I'm still only running 17 PSI on WOT.
DieselPro 03-31-2006, 04:43 AM DAS just voided your warranty. Hey, that's pretty dam good for a 6.5L. Sounds like the rear brakes are working real good holding back your motor a little. If you put yourself a line-lock on it, you can release the rear brakes and your front brakes will hold it back. Line-loc works great for other things also. Like stopping on an incline in traffic, making donuts, and drag racing. Next time kock your front wheels just a little before you start off. Like to see the rear squirm around some before she lites her up.
Good job! Maybe the hex is lifted and let the good times roll!
CanadianRigger 03-31-2006, 10:21 AM DAS who?
They said what if i told you to limit boost to only 8 PSI.
I said so, whats the point you arent giving me any warranty anyways.
They didn't sound happy that i was putting on a Holset either cause it'll make 40lbs of boost, i also said i was after the better efficiency not the 40 PSI. I would rather have a holset making 20 PSI than the GM-8, although the GM-8 i had sure sang a good tune, the holset is kinda quiet, only has an annoying sing around 7 PSI.
Tmi_13 03-31-2006, 11:44 AM Very nice, you make it look so easy.:ro) I just wish mine does that some day.
CanadianRigger 03-31-2006, 02:42 PM Hey if you guy's really want to have some fun with the burnout videos download them first and then play them with quicktime while holding down the fast forward button.... just too funny!
turbotowrig 04-01-2006, 06:55 PM nice videos. say, whats a holset turbo? ive been looking for a turbo upgrade for more boost for a while now, and the only thing i can find is from penninsular, and they claim 25psi. im trying to get as much power as possible. thanks. sorry for the hijack.
autoxsteve 04-01-2006, 07:03 PM Nice. What's all that white stuff on the sides of the road, Styrofaom?!?:p:
