Hey guys, Nice site, lots of information!!!! just purchased a 04 k2500HD crew cab 4x4 sb-just installed 4" stainless exhaust / afe stage II / cobalt gauge pack / power pup tuner-Bully dog. Tunes 1/2/3 work great, however tune 4-155HP dtc's p0700 & p0735 indicating 5th. gear slippage. Was told to purchase suncoast modded trans. to fix this problem...Is there a cheaper way to go?????? As this truck has only 4000 miles on it, i'm pretty sure the dealer would frown on a different trans @ service time...heheheheh....Also if I changed to the Quadzilla, would the Allison hold the 135 hp setting instead of the bullydog 155hp tune??? The bullydogs 155 is great until she kicks into limp mode, just don't want to spend 5K on new trans if i don't have to...thanks in advance....

there are many options out there for holding that kind of power. Anything above plus 90 horse you can't count on the ally to hold. It might depending on the programmer but it might not.
The $ you spend on the Ally will detrermine how much it will hold. The stage 5 suncoast is just about indestructable in as much as you will break something else before the tranny.
You can mod your current tranny to hold up to 500 horse or so with a stage 2 kit from suncoast or something similar from ATS, TTS, bully dog or whatever. Right around 2 grand or so, that will hold the power pup just fine.
You gotta pay to play, if your gonna go nuts down the road, get the full on, devil went down to Georgia, suncoast and never worry again.

Your trans is already done in.... its just a matter of time now...
Dealer would unlikely know that the trans has been changed out if you retain an oem style pan. External its hard to tell other then the painted case.
