I have to decide quick what to get, so kinds of programmers there are for the 06 lly. The reason is I am going to get a 6 speed manual duramax, but don't know if I should order an 06 or just get an 05. I was going to get an 05 and run a the new power loaderIII with the xtreme tune from tts. Does anyone think we will ever see this for the 06 lly?thanks,Phil

Its going to be some time for big tunes as it is a complete computer change for the 06's. Its not so simple anymore.

If you have the choice- by the 05- EFILive wont work on the 06s and that will reprogram and tune every capabilities that you could ever dream of. Im jealous that I cant have it because of the new ECM. Although the 06 LLY I have runs great with the Bully Dog Power Pup.

PPE or BullyDog seem like the two everyone uses, I've heard some people have some problems with the Superchips thing, but maybe their new stuff is different. Also, I have heard a lot of negatives with people that use the Edge products, causing A "Turbo Pop" inside the intake manifold and a few electrical malfunctions.

As far as I know there are no Edge products out for the 06's.

Nothing yet for the 06s except the Bully dog, superchip, and PPE. IIRC. Bully Dog works great for me. When hauling a skid steer and some pavers, it handles with great power.

Do you have any problems or have you had any problems with the Bully Dog system? Would you reccomend this? I've heard some peoplecomplain of louder injector noise and some transmission slippage with the Bully Dog system, is this true??
Thanks for the input, I'm just makin sure I don't have any problems down the road.

It has a noticable difference in noise. It sounds more like a diesel! Ive had zero slippage. As long as you use moderation, you will be ok. And keep it out of extreme unless you plan on a tranny upgrade. Id buy the power pup again if I had the choice. go to www.concoursdirect.com They are great, and you will get a great price. The owner, Brian Vega, replies promptly to emails, and they overnight the pups for free.
