Presently, I am running 265 75 16 Revos on Eagle 145 8" wheels. I have the bars cranked 1". I am thinking about getting the 285 or the 305. Other than the 305 is a bit wider, anyone have any problems with either or these tires? Any opinions on any tire 305 ride and has anyone had rubbing problems? Trying to get a wider and beefier look without getting a suspension or body lift.

I'm running 305/70/17's which are an inch taller than the 16's. I'm assuming you're talking about 16's. I have no rubs with mine, i've also run them on 16's and i've run 285's as well. I like the wide look better.

It all depends on the backspacing of your rims. I think I would have more rubbing problems if I went with 305s because I have 4.5" backspacing on my rims. With either one you will probably have to trim a litte on the front bumper, tie back the parking brake cable and fender liner. Also, if you have GM mudflaps (molded) you will probably have to take them off....I did.

I have been running 305/70r16's for 2 years. They are trxus sts on m/t classic II's. I had to trim the skirting on the front bumper. They did not rub at all with the torsion bars cranked all the way up with green keys installed, but the ride was absolutely terrible. I dropped it back down about 1 1/2 in and the ride improved but they rub alittle bit on the inner fender. Not much, you probably could heat it up and bend it out of the way.
