was having trouble with my tranny, thought it was slipping in second, but when I started to really pay attention to my attitude display i noticed it was not locking the torque converter when in tow haul mode until halfway through second, felt like two second gears, and noticed when not in tow haul mode it would lock the torque converter in the lower gears, not sure if it should do that, but never the less, its sitting in the dealer....

anybody else have this type of problem? :confused:

Sounds normal. The TC locks in 5th gear while not in T/H (around 50mph) and when in T/H it locks mid way through 2nd gear. The slip reading on the Attitude display is worthless unless the TC is locked. Otherwise you are seeing TC slip which is totally normal when unlocked. Hope this helps.

man, i never noticed it before, locks half way through second its ok then... feel bad and shifts hard too, we ll see what they say looks like they will say its ok then, any way to have it locked all the time in tow haul? avoid the tc from locking halfway?? seems like i loose alot of power on the transition.

As long as it doesn't lock in 1st you're fine. It can be somewhat aggressive especially if the trans hasn't learned from a power adjustment. Make sure you let the trans learn the shifts when you change power settings on the Edge. And that goes both adding and subtracting power. It's best to keep it at one setting.
