Looking for the best place to buy a SBC kit. Just wondering what they are running. Looking at getting an 06lly/zf6 combo and just wondering how much I'm going to get dinged for the clutch set-up. Thanx for any info.

I can help you, or Evan with Crank It Up has tons of experience with several different clutch setups and carry's the SBC stuff too. Either of us would be more than willing to help you out. If you want more information on pricing go ahead and PM Evan, he is OSUDuramax here on the forum and his number is 937-603-4070.

He's in it to help people out just like me, he's good people to deal with :thumb:

Cheers,
Wade

You'll love your new truck with the SBC setup, you'll have the benefit of never having to deal with the nightmare of the DMF!!

If you ever need anything just feel free to ask, I'm always willing to lend a hand anyway I can.

Cheers,
Wade

I got mine from Scott Mass Diesel and received great service. Crank it up (Evan) and or Wade will offer good service as well!!! As for price i think they are about 1800 depending on shipping charges!!!!

It is a real big misconception here at the DP that these can only be sold by select vendors and this is just not true any supporting vendor that sells south bend clutches can get one for you!

MY recomendation is do some research find a vendor that treats you right and offers good service and buy from them!!!!!! I support Mass Diesel but also plan on doing business with Crank it up here in the next week or so !!!!

Hope this helps some,
Caleb

Stock most likely yes at some point you will. Modified..... I promiss you will. If your going to make anymore than stock power you WILL have to. Yes there are maybe just a hand full of trucks who never have to but I can't think of any.

5300 miles on the original flywheel, and still going strong. I keep telling myself I'll keep the truck stock until the flywheel gives. Then the gloves come off...

I got 40K out of one of mine but a flywheel should last a lot longer then the clutch and the clutch looked like new when I took it out.

You can also order them from Dynadroit Diesel. It was my company that worked this design with South Bend Clutch and did the original testing. Most of the members on this forum purchased the dual disc ceramic and feramic kits from me. The fist customer was mine (not forum member) and has over 6000 miles on his clutch and running great!

Let me know!
