I come to this site to see whats new, to learn about my truck but most of all to get help with any issues I have with my duramax.
This is the single best resource for duramax info in the world...period.
I was thinking for the LB7 and LLY crowd should we start putting together a list of common issues and fixes that we have run across? Make one document for each engine or year and link to posts that provide useful info.
For example, I have had a couple coolant leaks lately and I have learned from this site that there seems to be a certian lifespan on the coolant lines and I have passed it.
We have the pump rubbing leak problem. Wheel bearing lifespan, front end component wear, G80 wear. Just issues that come with every vehicle that gets rode hard and put up wet.
In the case of the coolant lines and the pump rubbing problem a little awareness and PM can prevent damaging and expensive repairs.
The info is all here, it's just buried in thousands of posts.
I dunno, what do you guys think? We have the DIY section. Would this be redundant or helpful?
