Looking at the pan, the drain hole sits up in the pan, so your not going to get all the fluid out unless you drop the pan--not to mention what is left in the convertor. So, at a fluid change, just removing the drain and spin on--how much fluid does it take to refill?? Ballpark?

It's even worse than it looks with the drain hole sitting up. There's a 1/2 inch high nut sitting on top of the recess, so there's a good inch of ATF left in the pan after you pull the drain plug. I got about 2 quarts out of my pan after draining it. I'm starting to think that the purpose of the drain is to lighten up the pan so you can drop it without making a mess.

If I were to drain my converter and pan what would be the best guesstamit of line ,cooler capicity of fluid left ?? I was wondering if a flush would really still be necessary ....
