Ever since I installed the SMF the high idle will rev up and then drop back down. Sometimes it does it right away and sometimes a minute or two after I set it and others it works fine like it did before the SMF install. Had it about two months before and had no problems till the install. The night of the install it took several trys to get it to work at all. Now it seems to work when it wants to. I need it more now than ever so it helps to quite the rattle. I know this is kind of the wrong form but more people here will beable to help me than in the others. Has anyone else had this happen to them??

my cruise button has to be pressed twice to engauge the high idle. but i didnt put the switch in untill after the clutch. i dont think that the two things can effect each other. does cruise work normally?

do you leave the cruse switch on all the time? I do. every once and awhile my high idle will do what yours is doing and I have to turn off the cruse for a little bit and then try it again.

auto's do it all the time as well, it has nothing to do with your SMF.... mine has done it as well.. cheak your wiring and sometimes youe tuning can do that as well

Ok thanks guys. Yeah my cruise works fine and yes I do leave the cruise switch on all the time. I know you have to hit the butten twice to get mine to work too but untill the SMF it worked flawlessly. It never shut off and work always on the second push. Just thought it was weird. Also, if it is really cold the high idle will not engage until a couple of seconds after the button is pushed. I do believe it is some sort of safety feature for cold start up. At least that is the way my 01 works
