Has anyone ran the power pup on extreme with a boost controller? What about the Power Pup and the Duramaximizer? I was going to wait until some big power tunes came out but it looks like it will be a while.

As of right now the PPE Boost controller does not work for the LBZ, just the LLY. The Duramaximizer is a fuel rail pressure increaser box- bad way to make power. The better stacks that Ive heard are the Pup and VA box.

VA does not have anything for the 06 LLY or LBZ..........

The PPE boost conroller does work for both the 06 LLY and LBZ, I ve ridden with my buddy in his 06 LBZ and he makes almost 30 psi with it:ro)

He also Has a Duramaximizer stacked with his PPE tuner...... with no problems......

According to PPE, the LLY is the only one it will work with zero issues. As long as boost is not increased past 28 PSI. I called to verify before ordering the part.

PPE said a month for the hot xcellerator, TTS said middle of summer until they have anything. Looks like i will be waiting a while for more power.

i have the duramaximizer, boost controller, and power pup set on performance. no issues yet. I keep the maximizer at about half. Thats where the truck seems to like it. I don't know much about this stuff but it sure is cool when you feel the power of the maximizer kick in.

It has been my experience that pretty much any LLY or LBZ including the 05's are likely to throw P0101's and probably p0401's as well on the 06's with the boost controller turned up. I think its hard to keep the boost down below 28lbs since it often spikes past 28psi, in turn throwing codes. Maybe some of the other PPE owners can chime in here and report their experiences as well. Im not saying not to buy the controller as it works as designed, but just be prepared to throw codes. These code problems are the downside to tricking the ECM by manipulating the MAP output as opposed to changing the boost(and other related parameters) in the ECM, like the Xcellerator does.

On my Truck I have pretty much given up on running it without codes at this point, so when I want the codes I simply turn the controller off and wait through 3 koeo warm up cycles. This sucks, but i have already tried everything else that I can think of...It's now a ECM issue that will need to be fixed with a properly designed programmer or efi live type setup.

One thing that may be different on your truck that could change the results is the Power Pup. If the commanded boost is raised beyond stock levels in the ECM, perhaps the MAF sensor range has been modified and possibly even the EGR calibration as well, making these common codes less likely to get thrown. We can only hope. Once I get an Xcellerator loaded on this thing, I will check and see if it affects the controller and report back.

The only problem with the EFI lIve route is it will not work on the 2006 ECM. Because of the new Bosch box. So the only way will be a tuner.

I have the PPE code blocker not installed yet would this stop my from throwing the codes? I think someone will eventually come out with an alternative for efi live for the 06's i really hope so at least. I am already pushing 24-25lbs of boost would the purchase of the boost controller be worth the extra couple pounds? Thanks Alot

I have the PPE code blocker and i have thrown a p0401 with it installed. I have soldered all connections except the egr wire, which i hear is required so i am going to try that next and see if it helps....

P.S. Learn from the finger stick people and solder all the connections when you install it to save yourself some time and headaches.

I soldered the EGR wire up up yesterday afternoon. Tonight I am going to clear the codes and then i will drive it for a week and check back.

The scotch lock was pretty loose on there so it wouldnt surprise me if that was the problem!

Mike did the duramaximizer make that big of difference with the power pup(worth the money)? I ordered the boost controller. i will post my findings.
