I'm getting ready to do my first maintenance. Allison spin on and oil and filter change, I plan on using the AC Delco PF2232 filter, Rotella T 15w40 oil, and Wix tranny filter #7701. I'll need to pick up a quart of Dextron 6 at the dealer. I plan to order 3 #33910 fuel filters and 6 Wix tranny filters from Fleetfilter.com. I read somewhere that the magnet covered the holes on the Wix spin on more than the OEM filter. Does anyone see a problem using these parts. I've used Wix brand for years with no problems. Mike Z

Try a search, I think most people go with factory Alli spin-ons for peace of mind, I know I do.

IIRC Mike L. said there is no reason this should cause a problem.

If I were you I'd change/check front and rearend fluids. At 1000 my rear was low and my front was yellow-:t

The magnet for the Alli is used for ALL filters. Not just the Wix. Make sure you clean it before "re-attaching" to the filter. You should be good to go.

I did my fluid changes today, motor oil, filter, differentials and Allison filter. Both differentials were low and the fluid glittery. My front axle lube oil was yellow too. Seems they're saving money by not filling the pumpkins all the way. I'm going to call the dealer and see why this wasn't caught at the PDI. Mike Z
