I Bought A 99 GMC 3500HD added my flatbed and old 74 Hiab Crane to the back Behind the cab I then Bought A Parker 10 gpm hydraulic pump and a 7" pully electric clutch fan my 6.5 diesel runs at 700-750 rpms but for max performance of my hyd pump Id want to run between 1000 & 1200 rpms Im looking for some sort of throttle advance and have called all over the country to tow truck companys & ambulance companys ect I do not have cruise controll as suggested by one person I talked to I do not have a cable throttle its electricthe truck is automatic

I would think there would be some sort of way of putting a kind of dimmer switch in line & splice it in so that I could adjust it as needed

the city of boston has small packer trucks (trash Trucks ) that are the same as mine but the company that puts thier truck together basically told me to go fly and diddnt have time unless I bought the product from them

So ok whats my next move shy of a block of wood or letting my blonde (which in it self cancells that idea) hold the throttle in one steady spot while ive got a 3000 pound tombstone with mrs smiths family watching hanging from the crane thanks

I know they make a high Idle kit for the newer trucks. Maybe they make one for your truck. I dont know if that is an option on a 99. Maybe someone else knows. Sorry I cant be more help.
