Just about to finish buttoning up my '92 6.5, and discovered the Fel-Pro top end gasket set I bought came with the "C" intake gaskets.
Bummer! I was hoping to get everything sealed up tonight and dropped in tomorrow.

I checked AutoZone online, and they show the same
Fel-Pro # MS91585 for both '92 1/2 ton 6.2's and '92
1 ton 6.5TD's. ????

Anybody know the Fel-Pro # for the HD (non-EGR) 6.5 lower intake gaskets?

Or is it the same gasket with a separate set of block-off tabs, and mine's missing?

Any help would be appreceiated.

Should be a set of thin rectangular stainless inserts, fits in the gasket opening.

C and J get same gasket, otherwise.

i just put the F intake on my S engine and got the felpro gaskets from autozone and they looked identical to the ones that came off of it. still had the hole for the EGR passage. The intake blocks it I guess, as the used intake from a 1ton i put on there had soot on that square where the passage would have been.

I'd have bet money that Fel-Pro would have included the block-offs for the J/F motors in their gasket sets, but
evidently with the large number of C/S coded motors out there, they saw fit to only supply the EGR type gaskets.

C/S type gaskets will work under a J or F intake, but I figured it better to stop the exhaust gas at the head instead of heating up the intake as much.
(every little bit helps!)

Even went to the dealer and looked at the OEM set for the F motors............sure enough, EGR only. All 6.2-6.5
applications, be it C,J,S,F or even HD P-30 van.

Finally stopped by my local Scheid Diesel shop and
got just what I wanted.

Delphi # 7135-263 pump mounting kit.
Complete with HD J/F non-EGR lower set, upper plenum gasket, and pump gasket. $23.14 out the door.
$18.14 cheaper than the dealer wanted for just the C lower set!!
