guybb3 03-22-2006, 06:44 AM I need new glows and was heading in their direction but quite a few guys have had early failure with those. When I do them this summer I'm getting Delphi plugs.
w_huisman 03-22-2006, 08:18 AM I've been running them for about six months without issue. Definitely work better than the 60g's if you don't have manual glow control.
guybb3 03-22-2006, 08:37 AM 6 months isn't a long time Wade. I still have the original plugs in mine @ 147,000 miles and they are just starting to show signs of needing replacement.
w_huisman 03-22-2006, 09:12 AM 6 months isn't a long time Wade.
I didn't mean to give the impression that 6 months was a long time. If I did, then I apologize.
I was just stating my experience "matter of factly"
guybb3 03-22-2006, 09:31 AM I didn't take it that way Wade and definitely didn't mean to give you grief. I'm just wondering if anything can match the reliability in glows that my truck came from the factory with?
Pa1dFor 03-22-2006, 10:52 AM heath has these 109.00 quick heats with 4 yr warranty. With that long of warranty thats what I'm looking at for my next as I'm on my 3rd set (ones that came in it...bout yr after i bought truck, 1st some quick heats off ebay...10months, now some 60g's from autozone...bout 4 months) so i'm really agrivated with the glow plug situation and want something that will last a couple of years at least.
Anyone else have at least 2 yrs on their plugs and who makes them? Where did ya get them from? and any warranty?
Oil Burnr 03-23-2006, 12:33 AM Forum Moderator removed the link to the site, but said I could give company name.
company name is: indusadist add a "dot com" and you have it. guy is CHUCK GILLIS and he is OWNER / SALES and his CELL PHONE: 812-249-9940
95tahoe 03-23-2006, 09:46 AM why was the link removed?
guybb3 03-23-2006, 09:51 AM why was the link removed?
Probably because they are not a supporting vendor.
95tahoe 03-23-2006, 10:20 AM So...if a member finds a great deal and wants to share it with other members he's not allowed to?
guybb3 03-23-2006, 10:34 AM Ya you can, you just can't post a link. I think that's fair considering that the supporting vendors pay for the site to exist and help us all.
95tahoe 03-23-2006, 10:36 AM Yeah I agree thats fair but if theres a better deal or a better product we should be able to share it otherwise the forums become for the good of advertisers not for the good of the members
guybb3 03-23-2006, 10:52 AM They have no problem with us sharing or even giving the name of the website as long as we don't post a link.

Sharing isn't the problem
LINKING to their site is.
Easy to say that I got these at ABCGLOWPLUGS.com with no link involved
But we would like for the supporting vendors to be given a chance also.
RickDLance 03-23-2006, 11:20 AM Probably because they are not a supporting vendor.
It's not that they are a non-supporting vendor, It's that they are a direct competition with a supporting vendor. The thread starter even mentioned a supporting vendor as a comparison. The vendors are what keep the forum here and alive! Not only that, but the bulk of them are on here several hours a day answering questions and helping people, sometimes even those that will never buy from them.
We as moderators do not want to be the "heavy's" here, and by no means do we stop the discussions of these non-supporting vendors. I hope you guys understand. You are more then welcome to start a thread in forum operations and voice your opinion and recommendations. And for the record, I am the one that took out the link in the first post.

I do not see Heath as a supporting vendor. I may be wrong, but links to supporting vendors are OK.
guybb3 03-23-2006, 11:40 AM I thought Heath was a Supporting Vendor a while back also but he isn't.:o:
bowtie 03-23-2006, 11:47 AM Bill has been appoached about being a supporting vendor and as I understand it is interested but hasn't followed thru yet. wouldn't hurt to mention it to him when you talk to him bout 6.5 stuff.

Sorry, I thought I had sent you a PM about it. I do all my work on the road via an air card. Sometimes it is a little quirky.:)

Well, I pulled my stock 9gs out last month. I guess I got lucky they hadn't mushroomed after 11 years.
I replaced em with bosches. Expensive but available locally. Local shop didn't carry delphis - had too much trouble with them. But posts on this board seem to indicate they are quite good.

I'm soooo confused. Anybody have a definitive answer on what my sub came with stock and are they still available?

I have a couple times in conversations with Bill. I think others should also, when you call up and say "Bill I'm interested in XYZ and found from the Diesel Place that your a good guy to deal with". Tell him you would appreciate putting a bit back into the places that help you (us) out.
