http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif 03' Dmax 41,000 miles, 8 new injectors + large oil leak coming from above oil pan by flywheel.

Just had injectors changed at 32,000. Oil leak started about 500 miles after injector replacement, brought truck back to dealer. They said it was leaking from the oilguard system. Completely re-installed system. NO LEAKS from oilguard, however oil leak remains.

Pulling a 10,000lb mini-backhoe, stopped at fuel station, looked under truck, oil was just pouring out by the skidplate. Got to jobsite, unhooked trailer let cool down for 5 min. Walked back to see how much oil came out. Almost half a quart. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif

Added oil, called dealer, appt. on monday.

This only leaks this bad when under heavy load. Other times when normal driving, only a couple of drops.

Could my baby have a rear main seal out? Anybody have any input?

Just one more thing- No Matter what is wrong with this truck, This dmax is the best truck I have ever owned. (If it's made out of metal, and assembled by humans, something will always go wrong)!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Thanks for the info

Oil leaks are the simplest thing for the dealer to find .... Some dye and a backlight and a dark room .... Sounds so psychedelic .... http://mail.wackywack.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

But anyway it works ...

Could be they did this the first time and perhaps they seen the leak at one of the Oilguard connections ...

What I would do if possible is temporarily disconnect the Oilguard prior to your next dealer visit to eliminate finger pointing ...

Good luck

Could be turbo feed or drain. Since they sit in the Vee it can run around to most any point.

TommJr----You know I sometimes think the name "DURAMAX" causes a lot of folks to over react to any problem they may have with their truck. I agree with you that this is one FINE truck! Good luck on your oil leak. I'm sure it's something simple that will be fixed. It's a small problem compared to the problem owners of furds or dudges have. They have to wake up each morning and look out the window and (deep down inside) wish there was a MAX sitting in their driveway!-------------------------http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif------Phil

Sorry to hear about the oil leak...........8 new injectors not long ago??? Why??? If memory serves me correctly, don't you run a secondary filter (nicktane)?

I'm still stock..........just can't make up my mind if a guy should spend the money on a secondary fuel filter system or not.

Good Luck
