What does a clutch sound like when it is slipping?????????????? Should't the RPMS change when it starts to slip??

Exactly rpms will go up and speed wont. Or you think you are burning your tires off and they arent even spinning, ya just smoked your clutch!

Depends on how strong the box is, and how weak the clutch(s) are.

When my clutches were bad, I could float 3-500RPM of slippage in 5th without zinging the Allison if I was quick enough to release the pedal. The Allison/GM software is able to detect slippage much more precisely than the driver though, and will often punt without you knowing it slipped.

With the ZF, you don't have the management, so you need to detect it all yourself. You may not see it in the tach, or hear it until it has done permanent damage, so take it easy...Edited by: Kennedy
