As part of my rebuild, I installed a #9 resistor on the PMD.
What can I do to get the engine to 'recognize' that the new resistor is there? IIRC, the PCM will 'recheck' after 50 starts.
Is there a way to force this sooner? I have a cable and can use GMTDScan Basic (plan to play with that today).
TIA!

Will disconnecting the batteries do it?

I keep hearing the 50 key cycles thrown around, but I've seen the code tripped for no resistor installed in just 2-5 starts, which leads me to believe it checks it much more frequently....
No hard data, just obsevations...

TDC relearn should activate your resistor if all else fails.

Oh it should, if only everything did what it should though.... ;)

TDCO didn't work for me when i changed mine, but it did re-learn after a few starts....
but then again no one believes me until i swap it back again to reproduce the stumbling.
