: Attitude Pod
I've seen all kinds of different mounting techniques for the Attitude from velcro to 2-sided tape, supplied magic arm, and the ATS mount.
The ATS looks great but It seems that it is falling out of favour because of the viewing angle.
If a Pod were available for approximately the same price as the ATS mount that would go on top of the dash over to the left would this be of interest? Same type of material for gauge pods that could be paint matched.
I split it up because I am not sure if the dash contour changed from 2002 to 2003.

i put mine on the pod and i really like it. it looks real good at night and is very visable from the drivers seat without getting in the way. its also right there when you need to turn up the power when a mustangs pulls up along side of you.

Trippin 04-02-2004, 12:56 AM I went to his web site. It looks like he used the stock Attitude mount and mounted it above the two guages on his A-pillar.
NoWake200 04-02-2004, 10:37 AM Looks good!
But I think they are thinking more of a molded mount....like they have for the guages.
Yup, that's what I'm thinking. Paintable Pod made especially for the Attitude monitor that would sit up on the dash.
Did the dash contour change from '02 to '03?
NoWake200 04-03-2004, 11:24 AM That I do not know.....but I am sure someone out here knows.
Are you thinking about making one?
I'm not going to make one, I'm just doing a little market research on my own. I have a contact that makes gauge pods for everything and Air intake systems for the Cummins. If there is enough interest, the technology is reasonable enough to make a mold and put some to market with not outrageous input costs.
I'm looking for a tidy way to integrate an attitude into the dash landscape that is also in a practical location for monitoring the outputs.

Max Owner 04-04-2004, 07:17 PM Hey. A pillar mount that looks good, I'm in.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
flhrciblueice 04-05-2004, 05:43 AM I'm still debating on whether or not to use the monitor. I don't care for the restriction of quick removability should any warranty work be necessary.
I'm with ya on the quick removability. I was hoping to have the pod designed such that it was a clip mount to the dash - no screws or anything like that. That way it would be un-clip, un-plug and I would be stock. No trace except for the thermocouple in the manifold.
If there were questions about the pyro in the manifold, - "haven't got a gauge yet."

Oh ya, does anyone know for sure if the dash landscape changed when they went through the re-style in '03?Edited by: EMSi
That's a total of 36 so far - keep 'em coming. Still no definate answer on dash contour though.
allstok03Dmax 04-10-2004, 02:47 PM Here where mine is mounted

No the dash is the same, had an 02, now have an 03. I'm interested in one too.
Trader Jack 04-12-2004, 09:35 PM Honestly, the ATS mount for the overhead console is about the nicest there is. It even looks like a factory setup. My wife has not even noticed it after a week, so it must look like it belongs there.
At first I thought the ATS would be heard to read, but you get used to it real quick. The viewing angle is just fine and I don't expect to be constantly looking at it either. In fact, with the user adjustable safeguards built into the Attitude, you really don't need to monitor it that much. That's the nicest part.
The setup that comes with the Attitude looks pretty tacky, as does any mount system that is not integrated into the interior/dash/overhead console, etc.
Thanks for the replies - I have forwarded the poll results to date to the gentlemen that I know that is in the business of making pods. I'll keep you updated on any results.

hdmax 04-16-2004, 10:07 AM Why not have something like the X-Monetor has? This wouldn`t work for those that have the piller mounted gauges, but it may work for many.
allstok03Dmax; Very nice look you have there with the steering colum mount. Do you have other pictures we could see?
allstok03Dmax 04-16-2004, 03:50 PM No I don't have any other pics of the mount. I could take some more. what kinda pics would you like. some up close shots.
