Put it in last night and so far I'm pretty pleased. It took a good 10-15 mintues of driving before I could get a steady idle. 1-2 shifts really snap your head back compared to stock. Speed really picks up in the midrange as well. I just filled the tank this morning (89 octane) so it will be at least a week before I have a mileage report. No sign of pinging like I had on my Westers a couple of years back on my 5.3 1/2 ton that I ended up sending back.

I have not seen any codes come up yet for crank relearn but still plan to have it done.

Congrats on your new tune. I really like mine. From what I understand, if you dont get a code, then you dont have to do the crank relearn. I drove mine around for about 3 weeks with a code before i finally got time to go get it done. Im thinking about sending mine back to be set up a lil different. What all did you have him do to yours???

Hey Norcal, do you have the 6.0 or 8.1?

Its a 6.0. I had Jesse do an 89 octane tune for me. I also asked him to remove all torque management with tow/haul off (by default he only removes about 20% of tranny TQ management). And I asked him to leave about 50% in with tow/haul on.

Keep us posted on the mileage. I am curious if that improves it or not.

Its been a slow week as far as driving is concerned. I only have a 2 mile commute to work each way and haven't taken any long trips. Still have just over a 1/2 tank and my mileage so far is only marginally better than what I typically see at that point. I have had my foot in it more than usual however to test out the new found power and shifting ability of the truck. Hopefully I can get out this weekend and put some miles on.

I've gone through a tank and a half since the new PCM. Mileage is not where I hoped it would be. I would say 0.5-1.0MPG increase with about 90% city driving. I would still do the PCM in a heartbeat. The truck just has a whole new attitude:)

what tuning and where did you get it? I'm guessing they can do the 8.1 also

I just filled my tank after switching from the Hypertech to the Wait4Me PCM. I went from the original mileage of 11.5 to 13.1 for my first tank. I was also hoping for a little better, but I will take 13. This was a highway/city mix.

My second tank was at 12.6mpg. This tank was more city than usual. With summer gas coming I am looking at going on an extensive higway trip to see if there is a difference.
