i took my truck in for a leaking transmission. almost two weeks later i got the truck back and they replaced the torque converter for it had a crack in it. three days later i went to use the 4x4 and all i could hear was a pop and a bunch of grinding. the dealership tore it apart and said the shift forks were bent and were probably cause by the bad torque converter. i dont beleive the torque converter would have any effect on this but what has me more worried is what would of caused this? any ideas?

Hmm, that's the first I heard of something like that.

Uhhh no Even if converter "ballooned" the front pump and or flexplate would've caught it... sounds like a "CYA" to me.... wonder if they dropped case?

they replaced two forks in it and put it back together. on there test drive with it fixed they spun a bearing in it and now its apart again. i wish they would just get it fixed. i want my truck back.

My first thought is that when the pulled the case out to pull the trans, they lost some fluid in it. Never bothered to recheck it and here you are.
