: little help...

so may not have been the smartest idea to do all this in one sitting... but, thats what I did.

replaced S intake with F intake.

Installed EGT, BOOST, TRANS

Homemade TM - will get pics... (vacuum pump is knocking so tring to ride the vaccum system)

Flowmaster mandrel DP and x-cover (made my straight pipe alot louder)

crusing i'm producing about 3-4lbs steady, WOT can peak at 7psi, rarely seen. normally see 5 on acceleration and 6 for hard accel and 7 uphill. EGT's seem little high, pre turbo on manifold, If i try... uphill can hit the 1250 mark... crusing is 600-800 accel is 1000ish.

so problem I seem to be having is possible defueling, as i have my 10k pot ready to install but want to see how accurate my gauge is first. Truck will a lot of times stumble on hard accel, and on fresh start and hard accel then let off, sometimes stalls. Only code I had yesterday was P0380 glow plug heater circuit malfunction??? any ideas on that? sometimes glows won't stay on long, mainly due to already warm engine i assume but causes for long start cycle. When it stalls I just push into Neutral and then cut key off wait a sec then cycle for glows and normally refires right back up, if short glow cycle may take second attempt.

fuel filters new bout 1200miles ago, have dual lift pumps and they work any thoughts?

Not sure about the code but with that amount of RTV on the upper plenim you might be leaking some boost contributing to the hi EGT's? Look for wet spots around the upper plenim. Dealer gasket in only a few bucks.

I found my lower intake bolts were loose, shorty after rebuilding it, And I did use a torque wrench. I found it while I was installing my boost gauge. BTW mine will hit 14-15psi when I punch it and hold 4-6psi while crusing at 100KPH (60Mph)
my 98 had the same boost numbers, No one seems to know why some make more boost than others........
could be your leaking boost thru somewhere?? is your Air box modified??

Yeah, my numbers are exactly the same as yours nick. Those numbers do seem low Pa1dFor. Can you adjust that spring a little?

stock gasket was shot so used the rtv and let setup over night, will get a new one this week from dealer, autozone didn't have it listed... I will re-torque the bolts to see if lower is still tight but would assume so, only been few days... torqued all at 31lbs

any thoughts about the stumbling??

stumble/stalling sounds like PMD if you pass all the lift pump tests, find a known good spare to try.

replaced rtv with GM gasket today, like 7$ or something. Problem still exsist, after pondering a while I was almost certain it had to be defueling.

I was waiting on installing fooler to make sure gauge was accurate. I installed my fooler. At first it was worse, which made me happy (strange eh? but that made me certain that was my problem) pulled over and turned pot the all the way the other direction then back bout quarter turn. Problem fixed! awesome. will produce about 9psi boost peak and then drop off to about 5-6 once TM releases. Will old off on turning it up for a bit.

Only other issue is the "fish bite" is back... Emailed guy i got PMD from just a few mins ago, hoping for a swap...

Defueling is unmisstakable on OBDII, stalling and such seems like slow fuel supply pressure.

the defueling was the loss of power, when pressing accelorator pedal on hard accel, that problem was fixed with fooler. It would stall occasionally when you would let off all of a sudden when defueling was occuring the rpms would drop real low fast and would stall, only happened when that was happening. Lift pumps are working. filters are new, could be PMD though

got another PMD comming, hope it will solve all my issues with "fish bite" and occasional stall. other than that truck is running top notch again! with lots of extra power:rockit:

truck running great, new PMD came today, installed it. Also moved it outside of bay. See pics. What do ya'll think, couldn't figure out how to securely attach with heat sink that I had from a PC with the fan. I attached it to the aluminum skid plate which will work like a big heat sink. It will also get plenty of outside cool air across both the skid plate and FSD per bumper holes. bad angle on the one through the bumper grille but you can see it from there. other pics are from install
