Howard is the best!!!!!!! Howard made some calls last night and he found my truck. I called Howard last night and told him my dealer didn't know where my truck was and it was lost he said he would call me back. Howard called back, which only took about ten mins and he found my truck. Called me today and gave me the train car # and I just called the rail road and My truck will be in NJ 6:30 EST 3/31/04 only 30 miles from dealer. So I should have it this weekend or sooner. I called the dealer and told him and he will call NJ in the morning. He also said he's not taking any chances of the truck being trucked down and getting damaged he will go pick it up himself. Dam that Howard he is good Edited by: Leatherman
Picking it up is probably not a bad idea considering it's only thirty miles, but make sure, or go with whoever goes after it, that he doesn't flog it down the freeway on the way back. The PDI won't have been done and there's that 55mph max speed suggested for the first 500 miles by GM....
Mine got dinged on the railcar, not the OTR that brought it down from the railyard....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif

Congratulations, Leatherman!
I've been pulling for you. It's great to hear you finally will get the truck you have been waiting for.
One day, and I hope it is no later than April, perhaps I will be driving my new truck home.

Dealer called me on Friday said it was off the train and he wanted to pick up and they told him no. The yard said that it would be delivered on Tuesday by Flat bed truck. The dealer then ask me who was it I knew. First time he said that he wasn't able to pick up a car. They told him they were not taking any chances of this truck getting damaged. He doesn't know that I have a friend in the yard and when he sees it he would take care of it for me. I told my friend the dealer was looking to pick it up and agreed with me that it wasn't a good idea. I should have it Tuesday, no later than Wednesday.
