Until I get a Corsa catback system I want to find a chrome or SS exhaust tip for my 03 6.0L system. For 03 they changed to 3.5" OD and I have searched the net everywhere and can find everything but 3.5" OD. I don't want to wack the exhaust off ans weld a tip on but just want one to slip over for the time being. Has anyone done this or know of a place that has one? Thanks!

03 GMC,

Look up Stylin Concepts, They sell Gibson Exhaust Tips.
Stainless Steel in round (several styles) & also a turndown tip in 12" & 18" lengths.
I got one for my 3.5" Chevy 2004 Exhaust.

Looks nice, Good luck pal.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Actually any Parts place that sells Gibson will have it in 3.5"

Thanks, just found that one after posting. Runs around $65 for the one I found. Another guy pointed out we already have SS exhaust stock and showed me a pic of his he polished. Looked great. I will give that a go first.

It is SS, I did give mine a sanding and polishing.

Here's a Quick Tip; If your going to do it by hand get some good rough wet/dry sandpaper, 80-100 to start and then work your way up to 1500 microfine wet or dry after that you can use the polish.

The pipe is not smooth so if you don't sand it it will look all pitted. I used my air die grinder with the 3M pads then a little sand paper and polish. Looks fine untill I can afford a new exhaust.

03GMC2500HD, there was a guy who used neverdull and polished his and it looked great. Another helpful tip would be to remove the exhaust and do it. That way it is easier to work on. And it is easy enough to remove and put it back on.
