I do not believe you will ever find a true engine/jake brake for our engines. There are plenty of exhaust brakes which should serve your purpose well. A true engine brake would require a slave cylinder under the valves cover to open the exhaust valves before combustion takes place. This would no be a bolt-on procedure, sorry. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

I've been looking too. So far no one has one completed for the variable vane turbo. I had a BD on the '01 but I'm looking at the Banks this time. The unit they have for the Ford is reorted to work very well.

I think the jury is still out on what exactly caused the melt down you're referring to, it was a member who's Dad fried a Dmax and it had an exhaust brake. I've not seen a post about what the final determination of the cause was, but GM was saying no warranty because of the exhaust brake....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Has anyone heard of any news regarding an exhaust brake for the LLY?
