If you open a front door and look down toward the lower hinge you will notice a rubber/fiber flap between the door and the frame. If you pull it toward you you will find all sorts of stuff lodged in there (if you ever get leaves, etc. on your truck). This collection stays in there and can hold salt, etc. unless you pull it out (vacuum works well).
