Hey guys! Love the info I am able to get from this site! I am excited to let everyone know that i have ordered my PPE Xcellerator for my LBZ on Friday and should have it on Tuesday! :cool2: I am super excited to try it out as well as post the results for everyone. I am guessing I will try out the hot setting once or twice then leave it on the lowest setting untill i get a tranny behind this motor that can handle it! I am so glad to upgrades for the GENIII D-MAX's are starting to roll out! :ro) I will let everyone know how it works as soon as I get it!

As I am a new member to this site I was not aware that "PPE" is sort of a bad word around here, and I just wanted to assure everyone that I was not trying to get overly excited that PPE alone (so as not be accused of soley supporting them) is coming out with a product but rather that the aftermarket as a whole is coming out with products. I just like to see the aftermarket get into it because in the end I think that the comsumer (many of us) will end up with a better and better product.
Anyways just wanted to let everyone know what my intention of the post was, simply to try out a product, just happens to be PPE and let everyone know honest results and opinion. Thanks you all are great.

Like John Kennedy said when we got excited about our BullyDog Pups....
"The best is yet to come"
The problem is, the stock Allison can barely handle "better" :D

As soon as I have the product in my hands I will be very happy to let everyone know if it stands up to its claims or not, I am sure there are alot of us out there with 06 truck that want the best product for it, and IMO this is the best way for us all to learn what is best for us! Obviously we cant all have every chip out there due to bugets, so instead of each one of us having to buy every single chip out there, I will give my observations on the ppe and others on the BD and others on the Superchip and others on future chips to come out, I think there is no greater advantage to us than this simple forum! It really is agreat thing! Cant wait you guys!

Let me know how it works for you. I want to put in the ppe hot xcellerator in my 06. I herd that the xcellerator and the edge are a good stack.

That's it right there I have no problem with PPE and can't wait to hear how it does, but your story is a story we have all heard many times right before we hear tranny song.

not as good as some say when put on a dyno
Xcelerator extreme most of the time needs a lift pump to produce the dyno numbers that are claimed but granted it is a good stack another gooder is the duramaxizer stack on any programmer for that matter JMHO!
I would buy a big box/programmer and add alift pump or two with the money that would be used to purcashe a stack!!

Well sorry everyone, I have been super busy this week and just now have gotton time to let everyone know what I think of the PPE Xcellerator. Level 1 is a very nich power addition, not too much, but noticible, its very pleasent to drive around town with, no visible smoke, Level 2 is nice to drive around with as well, seems better on the highway, hills and such, also not really any visible smoke, a little maybe. Level 3 has very nice power pulls super hard in 4th and 5th, the defuel on shifts is very harsh though, smokes more then 1 and 2 but still not thick. levels 1 and 2 shifting is great. But as i am a power addict i am definatly looking for more, i would love to have a tranny that could handle 100% power shifts with no defuel... that would be great! all in good time though. Overall I am pleased, one thing I did notice however is my city MPG has gone up about 3 mpg on the hand calc! extreamly pleased with that, I have had the truck on tune #2, more power, better mpg, cant complain. Definatly looking for something to stack it with though.......Hmmmm. I just would like to keep things reliable. That may have been an oxymoron, but in the end that is my target, lots of power with good reliability.....Hmmmm again. lol anyways if any of you others have one let me know what you think of it, curious if your observations are the same as mine. only thing that it doesnt do that i thought it would is the smoke factor, not as much as I was expecting, not that I just want to blow smoke, but I did think there would be more then there is. Also, just got Boost and Pyro gauges hooked up, have only really had the truck on #2 since i installed them, but wide open 20-21 Lbs max boost 1350 pre turbo is the highest egt's have gotten. Egts rise quickly then flatten out at 1350. havent tried 1 or 3 yet though, I will post boost and egt results with 1 and 3 when i try it out. Overall happy customer! Let me know what you guys think!
