All,
UMP has resolved thier MAF Sensor issue, and their first production run of filters is at powder coat. We have a group buy going in the group buy forum. Visit is for information.
I will be posting install pictures, and results of first oil analysis from AV Lube vs my current Uni Filter as soon as I have installed, and put on the required milage.

Talk about stealing a guys thunder...
A little update on the pre-production model, I've got just shy of 9K on it and the filter still looks relatively new. The inside of the intake tube was squeaky clean. I can't wait to see the production model...

CJ,
Sorry man. Not trying to steal your thunder. You started the whole thing, just wanted to get us a good price. How were your oil analysis'? Any word on Harvard bypass availability?
Tim installed my Attitude a couple of weeks back, and it is awesome. We're wondering if you are coming to MS??

What exactly do you want to know? Improvements VS pre production or VS OEM?

I'd like to know the performance difference from the stock air box.
Thanks.

As far as top end HP gains, I have yet to see any air box/filter yield anything notable. The UMP SF utilizes a Donaldson element that has more surface area than the OEM element allowing it to flow more air than OEM at low RPMs, in turn the turbo spool up will happen quicker.
So in short, the only performance advantage is that the turbo spools up quicker.

There is some sort of breather on the '01 that is not present on later trucks. My friend with the 01 could not install his because this "breather" is in the way of the intake tubing when trying to hook up the UMP. Wonder if that is also resolved?
