I have a close friend that has a Denali and the lights on the instrument cluster goes on and off when they want too,they may work for a week and be out for 2 weeks. I check the fuse boxs and couldnt find anything wrong(blown fuses) what should I do next? pull the cluster out and check the contacts... Help me out plz.

Could be a bad light switch or the cluster itself .... The connection on the back is probably fine considering your not getting eratic gauge behavior also ...

Everything works ok in the cluster its just the lighting that doesnt work all the time,so you think that it might be the main switch thats needs looking at mackin? The backlighting even works on it as it does on everything else but the cluster...

Maybe a bad dimmer control ....
