That is all I used in my Dmax for the first 17k. I switched to Delvac 1300.





That oil was black and stiky and trashed at 5k. Thats when I would do a LOF. I also saw some test on the internet that had PREMIUM BLUE cooking the fastest and most severely then all others included in the test. That is why I changed oil. Because out of like 6 oils the Prem. blue did the worst. Even if the test was BS I still did not want to be using the worst one in the test.

Since my early break-in changes I've been changing LOF at 7500 miles and getting great analysis results. Have been using several different brands, Rotella-T 15W40, Rotella-T 5W40 semi-synthetic, Delvac 1300 15W40 mostly. I've got a couple of more changes of each that I'll cycle through but will probably settle on one brand year-round - either Schaeffer's or Mobil Delvac 1.
