:help:
My truck is making a squealing sound when I accelerate hard from a stop or step on it a little at highway speeds. It sounds like a belt squealing as long as I have my foot in it. Very annoying. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Engine mods include: blocker plate, finger stick, and Predator 65 hp tune.

I don't think I would like THAT sound from my turbo.

Have your boost levels changed??

Boost levels seem to be higher than before the engine mods I noted.
At highway speeds (55-75mph) I hear turbo whistle constantly. The boost gauge will read 0-3psi on flat ground.
When I stomp on it, the boost readings have gone up to around 20psi.
The squeal has not affected turbo performance. But as you know, it can't be a good thing. Anyone else having the same problem with the same or similar mods?
Do anyone know if the predator ups the boost to improve performance across the board?

Mine did the same thing I took both off and just left the predator.

I took off the blocker plate as it was the quickest un-mod. There was some evidence of exhaust gas leaking at the flange interface. For 2 days now, the squeal has not come back. My theory is that the thin metal gasket was acting like a musical instrument reed. The interfaces on either side of the blocker plate do not appear to have leaked any. I think the leak was coming from between the flange (firewall side) and the factory gasket. It does not appear to be leaking now. I will keep an eye on it.
I still want to put the blocker back in. With only a few hundred miles on the blocker, it had a film of soot on the pressure side. Yuck!
Thanks for the help.
