I am in Phoenix for a few days of business. I can not believe how many GM 2500s there are on the road out here! Nearly everyone has some sort of lift and big wheels. Phoenix has a very strong car culture, almsot like So Cal. Lots of full on prerunners with fiberglass fenders and beds. Awesome! Not as many Fords and Dodges on the road out here compared to where I live.

Wasn't me. Mine was in the airport parking lot all weekend:( . The GF and myself had to go to Tahoe to do a little snowboarding. Leave Az to get some snow and it snows in Az:confuzeld . Figures...and my flight back got cancelled!

Well living in the Valley of the Sun for 20 years. Yes most of these so called off road trucks only go off road when the asphalt is removed for construction. Next stop is the cleaners. I do more off roading on my construction track than most 4X4's with my 2WD. Although my friend at work has a really nice rig for a Dodge and I took it off road..

If you got your doors blown off while you were in town it might have been me! Did you fly in and out of Reno International? Flights always get f-ed up their. Were did you go snowboarding?

I will have to agree with you on the trucks and the women, very true! I perfer Northstar, Squaw or Homewood.

No, that is a sign of "This is the sickest place on the plannet!" When a storm hits here it hits hard, LOTS OF SNOW! Last year was also one of the bigest winters we have had in about 60 years and we got like 80% of it in 2-3 weeks! This year came late but we are still getting MORE snow. Their are so many resorts in Tahoe you wouldn't be able to ski them all in 2 weeks.

It gets expensive to fly in and then end up hanging out in the casinos the whole time because there is sooo much snow the mountain is closed. If I lived closer I'd agree! One lift ticket is WAY cheaper than a day at the Blackjack table!

There's always exceptions, but Phx trucks are quite functional with toy haulers attached for buggies and bikes. A quick blink at the freeways on a Friday afternoon and you see trucks loaded for the desert sand or mountains. And then there's the booming construction industry where contractors need to carry material and equipment to the outskirts of town. Probably why organized sports tends to do poorly is Phx is an area where people like to get away.

On the other hand, I'm not encouraging anyone living in a podunk town to consider moving to the Phx area. :)

I miss living in Mesa (suburb of PHX)! I moved to Albuquerque 16 years ago, not by choice. But when I finish my career here, I'm most likely headed back to the Mesa area, or maybe Henderson......hmmmmm:cool:

The whole damn valley has changed. I have lived here to long to where I can say do you remember when this was all farm fields. I am having a house built in Surprise. If you think Mesa has grown have you been to the west side?

I live at the Tempe/Pheonix border and my GF live at 67th ave. and the 101, complete other side of town, so I get to see most of the city way to frequently! Nice to have her live across town though, no "just stopped by" visits!):h
