The driver's side lumbar support on my truck stopped working. (after 36k of course). I can hear some clicking in response to switch activation, so I don't think it is electrical. But since I have seat memory and no Tech II it is a bit hard to follow the diagnostic tree. How big of a pain is it to get to the mech's? Any idea of the cost?

Thanks!

Jim

Depending on what type of lumbar support, the cable may have just come unattached or apart. I have not had one of the seats apart on one of these, but that is how many of the GM lumbars were done. You have to take the seat cover off and look under the cushion. Might not be too bad to fix.

You can also call your dealer and ask them to goodwill warranty it if it is close to the mileage (depends on exactly how many miles you have). They have the discretion to do that.

Dealer replaced what is called a control module on mine when the lumbar would not stay firm. Whatever it was, the fix worked.
