Is anybody with a 2002 Dmax running the Gatorback belt? I have the snow plow pkg. which should have the 130A alt. Accd to GY website the belt for my truck would be 4061182. If anyone has purchased this belt could you let me know where and how much?? I thought I heard of some guys here running that belt already, but it may have been a 2001 truck. Can the belt be warrantied at all since it is squealling like a banshee?? And it is the belt because if you spray a touch of wd-40 on the back side it quiets right up for a minute or two. So I know the tensioner and idler are ok. It has been squealling on and off for over a year but now it is pretty much continuous.

4061115 is the belt that works on my '01 with plow prep. 4061112 is the next shorter belt, and it will not go on my truck. 4061112 is what my local parts store listed for my truck.

They do make it. I have checked at work before.

I ordered the 4061112 for my Truck online from Autozone Sunday. It should be in soon. You have to do a part number search to find it. If you look at the recommendations for belts for the vehicle, it will not show up?

Cancerman, are you sure you got the right belt?? Acc'd to goodyear, that belt is not an option no matter what alternator/accesories you have! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif The posts above reference 2001 trucks which have a different belt length than the 2002's.


Also I did a search on Autozone, and they do not list the belt I need. The 4061112 is 7" shorter than the 4061182. So I don't think it will work. But let me know if yours does.

Forced, I tried 4061115 on my '02 with single 105 amp alt and it was too short. It seems the redesign of the tensioner pulley is the difference between the '01 and '02 belt lengths.

Cancerman, Unfortunately Idle_Chatter has a '01 and there is a definite difference between the '01 and '02 belt lengths.
