We have a 2003 chevy crew cab dually with the duramax in it. We put a slide in camper in the bed and tow a 18' flat bed car hauler with a jeep on it. We figher we are towing about 11,000 + pounds. we get about 11 mpg going about 70 - 75 mph. Stop in and say hi if you happen to see us. We love to trvel so never know where we may show up.

My trailer seems rather small, compared to what you've got ... It's 6.50m in length, 2.20m wide and must not weigh more than 1300kg. I don't know the actual weight, though. It has mechanical brakes --- I've never seen electrical ones in Europe, as electrical ones are probably not allowed in any of the European countries.

The picture's been taken in the Swedish forests at a place where I had decided to stay for that night. The light comes from the midnight sun, as I wasn't too far from the polar circle :)

Here's another one, taken while wating for embarkment of the ferry that goes from Germany to Denmark. You can see what people in Europe usually do their towing with --- _attempt_ to do, I'd rather say.

My trailer looks a bit odd, as the rear end of car towing it is supposed to be lowered by the weight of tongue of the trailer, as you can see at the other cars. But my truck's lowered about less than an inch only :)

Ok guys, maybe a bit off topic but I like this thread with all of you pics of your rigs :)

Ok here it is...I am going to get a 2004(5) GMC 2500HD 4x4 4 door shortbed. I want to be able to pull a nice toy hauler and 2 jet skiis in the back. I see from the pics that a lot of you have what looks like short bed trucks and your pulling 5r's with them. From some folks I have asked they said short beds can't pull 5th wheels. Am I missing something cuz when I get my ride I may think about a little bit nicer 5th wheel setup instead of the normal pull type toy hauler.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Short beds pull 5th wheelers all the time. The trick is to use a slider hitch that can be initiated in those tight turning situations. I think there are also some automatic slider hitches as well. Check with the numerous experts at www.rv.net/forums (http://www.rv.net/forums) for all the details.

To answer the question on shotbed towin', I use an extended pin, no problem. Make sure your tlr manufacturer authorized an extended pin, other wise you are going to have to use a slider, or chance modifying your cab.
