The quest for power continues.......... I ran across this product(see link) that some of the "ricers" use at the track.
* Dyno testing showed a reduction in intake air temperature of more than 35%.
* Intercooler sprayer enhance performance by more than 50%
Do you guys think it would work on our diesel trucks ???

Our diesels inhail 3 times the amount of air as nonturboed gas engines, so I would gander that it would give you a gain (same as with the turbogassers). I will give them a call tomorrow and see if they have done any experiments with diesels or have any info. I use N2O in the intake to cool the air and give a denser charge. Might be interesting to find out. Super Diesel

Even spraying a water mist on the cooler at boosted conditions would help dramatically!! Current vehicles such as the Evo VIII already use this. Water/moisture vasty increases heat transfer. Just don't drip any on the track, they don't like that!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif Would be cheaper than having to fill a bottle also. I think the N20 in the intake track is the best!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif The nitrous does double duty.
Does the intake air temperature sensor on the engine montitor the intake air before or after the turbo?? I think it is before. I ofter wanted to add an intake temp. gauge in my race truck and now in the diesel. Neither of which I did yet. Might be a good idea to see just how hot the intake air is getting, we have a pretty big intercooler.
