I was looking at purchasing a satelite ready deck and buying a xm antenna so the sound would stay digital and not go trough a radio cux I really like the sound of my boss system. But that would be expensive and the stock radio is fine for me right now. And tonight i stumbuled on a kit on ebay that would seem to solve all my problems. heres a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XM-Satellite-Direct-for-GM-Tahoe-Silverado-Sierra_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38645QQitemZ8020 628175QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Anyone got one? feedback thanks

This unit requires a factory GM Head Unit to tune it. The factory GM HU needs to be XM compatible. An aftermarket "deck" will not work with this, (if that is what you intend to do).

I have't tried that particular one but my biggest complain with the aftermarket one I was using was that the prog button on the steering wheel will not switch between presets. I think this will be the same for any aftermarket unit. That is one of the reasons i am going with the OEM GM XM.

I not to impressed with XM so far, I have lost signal 3 or 4 times in 400 miles I have driven my truck San Diego to LA.
