OK I screwed up. I went to brush something off my seat and had my key in my hand. A sharp edge on the key put a 5 in scratch in the seat. Any ideas how to fix it without buying new seat cover.

I don't know of any way to fix scratched leather.

you could scratch the other side to match tho. just a thought.

Take it to the dealer and tell them it is wearing out, these seats are notorius for wearing out too quickly.):h

Thanks guys. I'll talk to the dealer and my buddy who sells used cars. It's nothing major but the truck only has 1100 miles on it. Might not be able to convince dealer of excess wear. Oh well at least when I'm driving
I can't see it :D

Man, I would freakin' die if I did that. My new LBZ has 532 miles on it and I feel your pain.

A couple of years ago, I owned (very briefly) a 2500 Avalanche and, of course, joined the Avalanchefanclub.com . One of the guys on the forum bought his new Avalanche from the dealer, drove it (grinning) home, pulled in the garage and bumped a metal shelving unit. You guessed it; on the top shelf of the shelving unit was a full gallon of paint. The paint can tipped off the shelf and landed square on his bright, shiney hood.

He posted photos and the damage was HUGE. There are no words that seem appropriate for such times. Well, maybe a few words, and they all start with "F" and "S.":exactly: :exactly: :exactly:

Well, as my wife would say, "now it really is a truck". First damage out of the way. Now you can really use it! Seriously, sorry dude. I hate it when my new ride becomes a "truck".

I did one better than that about 4 years ago. Driving wifes new Sequoia(600 miles), taking my son to school. Blind corner, looking into the sun, church on the right casting a shadow, pull out from stop sign and t-bone a Cavalier doing 40 in a 20. Damage was minimal until the Hooterville Volunteer Fire Dept. showed up and used jaws of life to seperate cars. It slipped off the bumper and went through the radiator all the braces up front. $13,000 damage, body shop estimated 8,000 of it from fire dept. I'm still married to the same woman, she's very forgiving.
