TSK 03-06-2006, 11:14 PM Does anyone have information when a new 2007 2500 HD can be ordered? Would it be early May, if the 2006 orders end mid April? If it is May 1st, when would production/ delivery start for the 2007 model year? (I assume that column should read "2007/08 M.Y.") Reineke 03-07-2006, 01:27 AM They have a couple weeks of shut down in between model years and you can submit an order then, but the wait is really long. Some minor things will be changed in between model years. Once production begins, it would be ok to place an order, which I believe in at the end of June to early July. It is inconsistant and depending on what changes need to be made down the line and material on hand. I don't want to wait for another year and then some to get a new one. It seems the new style will be out around April/May 2007. It actually does list a number of dates in the "2007 Production Startup Date" column, including the Tahoe (12/5/05) and Yukon (1/9/06), both of which seem about correct. But it lists only one date for a 2007 Silverado/Sierra: Chevrolet 1500 Silverado Pickups 7/16/06. If this is referring to the GMT900 1500, this is the first reference I've seen that indicates they'll be built before Oct. 2006. On the other hand, if it's a GMT800 1500 carry-over for the 2007MY (as is expected for the 2500HD & 3500), that's a mighty short production run. Will there be 2007 models that look like 06s, and then when the NBS trucks start rolling in October will they be 07s as well? Gonna have to differentiate them in some kind of way or it will drive the parts counter guys crazy. | ||
