Instead of using brackets back to the frame, has anyone used plates on either side of the flat plastic back of the fog light hole to provide rigidity? I just bought some PIAAs #510 and want to mount them soon. Any ideas would be appreciated!

FWIW, the factory lights are mounted in an "L" shaped piece (plastic) that hangs off of the bumper. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to replicate that with some aluminum sheeting.

You're welcome. If you lay under the truck and look behind the airdam at the back of the bumper, you'll see two holes in the steel part of the bumper above the fog light cutout. That is where the factory fog lights attach.

While were on the topic....I have a set of factory fogs I want to install and was wondering how to make them more ridgit since I had to cut the airdam to fit the mount for the plow.

Right now the airdam vibrates because it was cut.
