Heys guys, I have some questions for those of you who are using the super chips tuner.
1. What kind of mpg are you getting and at what setting?

Info about my truck, '03 2500HD crew/ short box, 285 Nitto tires, lumber rack and tool box, stock exhaust, stock air intake. I have found my mpg has gone way down after the addition of tires and programmer, from +15 to -11mls. This question will come up and no I'm not lead footing it around town. I called the super chips office and they told me to run it on the max setting because a person will use less throttle to get to the same speed campaired to the stock calibrations. I'm going to go back to the stock settings just to see if there is a difference. Also one more thing, did you guys use the super chips method of calibrating your speedometer if you did it? Thanks for you help and any input you might have.
Eric

I've got a similer 02 truck with lb7, 4wd and dmax-ally. Also racks and toolboxes, but 265's and a k&n drop in. I run my superchip on performance(approx. 90hp) all the time and can get better mpg than the oem tune. The 60 hp tune for me does not improve mileage. And I am not happy with the 30 hp or stock setting anymore. I have friends that run 285's for winter and their mpg drop quite a bit. My tuner(#2705 or near that) does not have speedo calibration. For every 100 miles, my odometer reads only about 3 miles under a gps comparo. My best mpg is ever 14.7. That was with sc on hi perf. Hope this helps. Del

I have the Superchips also. Ran it before I did the tire upgrade. With 245's the tow safe tune (lvl 1) would yield the best mpg, about 18.5 mpg city, 21-22 mpg hwy (interstate). This was unloaded with the pickup bed. I tried it again a few weeks ago (Edge broke, in for repairs) and ran 2 tanks with each of the tunes. Being heavy (8,500 lbs) the performance tow tune (lvl 2) yielded the best mileage, but was equal to stock tuning at 16.5 mpg. The Edge J/A on level 2 with smoke on lvl 5 would yield a consistant 17.7-18.2 mpg for the exact same driving and temps.

Can't wait to get my J/A back!:help:

Heys guys, I have some questions for those of you who are using the hypertech tuner.

Made a mistake with the programmer, its really a hypertech not superchip. Anyone know how to change the Title of the thread? Thanks for the input guys.
