One of my 265/75/16 Michelins sprang a leak in the garage this weekend. Since I am about to put new tires on the truck, I pulled the wheels off and put my old steel wheels with the OEM Firestone tires back on.

Wow. I had forgotten how small the 245/75/16 looks on the suburban.

I've been really happy with my Michelin LTX A/T tires. They are smooth, quiet and wear like iron. I was tempted by Bridgestone but in the end went with what I knew. Load range C so not for everybody.

Went to place my order and something happened. Instead of ordering Michelins I ordered some Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo now with UNI-T AQII ):h to replace my Michelin LTX A/T w/70,000 or so miles on them. The guy at tirerack talked me out of the Michelins even though I thought they performed well for what I was using them for. And, 70,000 miles and still 1/4 tread depth I think I got good use out of them.

So, I am going against my better judgement and betting on an unknown. Well, not really. Looks like a lot of people like them. We'll see.
