Bad idea. These are NOT different engines and have much more in common than differences. Some won't bother to read the threads that 'supposedly' don't pertain to their engine and will miss some good information.

This is the first mass production year for the LLY, so maybe its a good idea to put them in a separate forum http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif. It will be easier to track any of the problems they may have as owners put on more miles.

what are some of the differences in the LB7 ((my truck)) and the LLY new trucks.

some of the differances are as follows: new variable vane turbo, new injectors(relocated to a new location) makes them more fun to changehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif , possibly some head changes as well is what I have heard not sure if that is true, changes to the PCM to deal with the other dhanges that were made. That is all that I know of at this point.
