I ran accross these and by the looks of it their design is sound, moreso than the others on the market. I was thinking of getting one, anybody have some input?

They use J&D for their dyno, that's where the socal meets are usually.... I don't think I've heard any diesels using them but people on the silverado ss club do.

that looks pretty sweet. not sure about the performance, but i like the way the filter mounts to the airbox.

Could they have used a dirtier engine bay for the photo on their website:lol:

All right guys the time has come. I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these. I'm looking for you guys to talk me out of it and doing the TXCHISTOPHER mod, but the "engineering" on this particular just seems to go way beyond any other intake on the market. I just cant help to think that this one might actually work well. For those of you that have CAI please take a look at the design and comment on it.

Thanks

We put it on my buddy's 06 5.3 truck and I was pretty impressed with it. Its totally enclosed from the engine bay. All air comes through the holes in the fender.

It would be better if it used the factory filter.

Heres the page that talks about the filter.

They actually have a different filter specificly for diesel engines. After all the negative talk about the common CAI systems, it seems these guys may have done it right, maybe.

Are you guys telling me that I'm gonna be the guinea pig on this one?

Its hard to tell but the "Bullet Top" on that page is the top of the air fliter. Supposedly so the air does not hit the top of the filter square like on the flat topped filters.

The "Inverted velocity stack" is inside the filter directly on the other side of the "Bullet Top". They claim that it streamlines the airflow towrds the tube. I suppose that if aire enters from all sides it would crash together inside the filter and cause turbulance. Who knows.

I liked the design on it and they seem to be going pretty cheap on ebay I might have to buy one and tell ya'll how it works.

So has anybody ended up snagging one of these intakes yet, and if so, how's it performing? Thanks.
