Does the dealer have to notify you if your truck was damage on the train or truck while it was in transit??? Not saying mine was damage but it's just a question I would to have an answer too

Have to ??

Doubt it .... It's not yours untill you sign the papers .... Many come in damaged off the trucks and the dealer is suppose to do a delivery inspection similiar to what you will do prior to delivery ...

My last two dually's I've taken were damaged,on the lot ,both from yard jockey ,that they later repaired ... Both cracked rear fenders that I noticed before leaving the lot ... I don't allow or ask my dealer to prep my purchase ,I take it fresh from GM off the truck ...

Leatherman you scared me there for a minute. I have been following your posts and I saw this title of damaged truck. I thought your new pride and joy was damaged and my heart sankhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Broken Heart.gif.

Thankfully it was just one of your thoughts from another sleepless night. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

You haven't got that thing yet? What's the hold up? I thought you would have had it by last weekend!

Mac is right....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

Mine had damage from the railcar. Dooley's are hard to fit on the railcars and OTR transports. Fortunately for me, the plastic fender flexed and the huge swipe of yellow paint on the right rear fender buffed out leaving only a few small scratchs which we fixed with touch up paint since I didn't want to "fog" the fender with new paint.

I had a little bit different circumstance on that and the SM and I got into a fight over how it would be fixed. I won that one because I signed the papers for the truck three days before it got here to get an extra rebate, so it was mine when it rolled off the transport.

That was good......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Seeing it with that big gob of yellow paint on the fender wasn't so good after waiting 10 weeks for it to arrive....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif

Hope you don't have a similar experience.
