I am trying to find a replacement IP for when mine finally dies. I was wondering what the newest and best IP for power and performance model # was that I can put into my 94. I currently have 2 of the newest PMD I could find. (one in use and one spare)

Also, any thoughts on the 97' water pump upgrade would be appreciated.

Post the DS4-xxx-xxxx number - black or blue label on rear - offa your Inj Pump here, or get the p\n offa the eprom in the pcm and post it.

Info on the cooling upgrade, and other upgrades, is in the FAQs area

Briefly - if you never tow or haul, you may not need it.

But, spend some time watching the coolant temp climb uncontrollably, and the upgrade becomes a consummation devoutly to be desired.....................

Hello,

I'm a rookie in 6.5TD, but, IMHO, the DS4831-5521 with a 34583 PMD looks to be the best choice, at least your 94 truck is a super duty one, in that case you won't have any other choice than the 5068 IP.

Concerning cooling upgrade, you should have a look at SSchevellman on ebay, look especially at item# 8042016475 and # 8042016571 ;)

I believe the #'s on the pump are as follows:

DS4831 S5469

You probably get the DS4 381-5459, wich replaces the 5288. As far as I know, the 5521 is the last upgrade for that kind of pump and will work fine for you I believe

Ok - you don't have the special 5068, so the 5521 would be the IP to look for, and will function with your PCM.

Do a search for Inj Pump, and any number you're concerned with, to get all posted information.

That may be. It's kinda hard see and to top it all off they double stamped the last 4 numbers so it's even harder to see.

Thanks...I'll start lookin for a 5521.

Double stamped to 5459? So its probably a 5288 thats been updated to a 5459.
