I probably could figure it out but, What does LLY and LB7 stand for? I see these abbreviations and would like to know if its something I would have.

LB7 is the 01- early 04 dmax (injectors under the valve cover)... 300hp 520 tq.
LLY is the new dmax with variable vain turbo, injectors accessable without removing the valve covers, etc, etc... 310hp 590 tq

The only dumb question is the unasked question....

LB7 is the RPO code for the engine 01 - early 04 DMAX trucks, and LLY is the RPO code for the new style DMAX engine as mentioned above. AN RPO code is like LS1 = engine code for Corvette/camaro, LS6 = engine code for Z06 corvette, etc. BTW, Z06 was an RPO code for heavy duty handling suspension for the older corvettes, circa late 60's early 70's. (RPO = Regular Production Option)

One other thing, your username for this forum is "Z71 Grizzly", the Z71 is an RPO code for the off-road option for Chevy 4x4 trucks.http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

I know that one for my truck I just was curious on the others. Thabk's for telling me, It's good that they are uping the power and making the injectors better I guess. By the time I get mine all the bugs should be worked out hopefully. More power options too.
