I just picked up my 2004 CC SRW 3500 Sierra LT yesterday and was disappointed that the mirrors don't have the lights on the bottom side that illuminate when the vehicle is unlocked. Can these be added to my truck, and how would you make sure the lights turn on?

It would be easy to wire if you could find a light that would look good.

I was going to see what new mirrors would cost with the integrated lights. My wife has them on her Denali, and my son has them on his 2003 Chevy p/u, so they should be availble at the dealer. I just thought it was pretty cheap of GM to delete them just like they did with the underhood light.

My son just got a 2004 GMC 1500 Sierra SB LT and his has the lights under the mirrors. My 2003 Silverado HD D/A dosn't have them, but that is because I have the Camper Extending Mirrors. The Camper Extending morrors also do not have to auto dim, & memory for differnt drivers. Edited by: BIGMoe
