But I do have one concern My truck now has 1200 miles on it and I've noticed at around 175* F that I get a small amount of bluish/gray smoke from the tail pipe on moderate throttle. If I plant it, no smoke ...Cold at Start up, no smoke...At normal operating temps, No smoke ..I should also tell you I just change the oil to Delvac 1300 super and No change still smoke at that 175* range. Milage on a 400 mile trip 19.25 caculated Anyone have any ideas? or seen the same things?</TD></TR>

I've just put 1300mi on my lly and have not noticed any smoke during any part of operation. Though I will try to pay more attention and report back.

I now only have 1966 miles and have not noticed any smoke at all on mine. No ideas here.

I have a little over 600 miles on mine with no smoke. However it seemed to be less lively today when at cruising speed. Not much kick when you step on it. Could be my imagination though.

2200 miles and have only noticed it to smoke when I get on it a bit. (I've yet to go all out with her though).

I've got just over 3000 miles on my truck now, and i've never noticed any smoke. What you are seeing is probally due to the rings not being seated fully.

The only problem I had with my truck was at about 800 miles. The turbo vane position solinoid went out, and the turbo vane sensor went out. The stealer ate that cost in warranty repair though. It was around $350.00.

Other than that minor problem, I love my truckhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif!Edited by: 338_

A little over 3,000 miles, no problems and no smoke except at WOT. If it is using a little oil and since you have over 1,000 miles I would push it a little to get some BMEP (http://www.epi-eng.com/ET-BMEP.htm) for seating the rings. The more pressure in the combustion chamber, the more pressure behind the rings to force them against the cylinder wall. This is what you need to seat them. They are usually seated in the first few hundred miles (not to be confused with break-in, as in loosening up the close tolerances). Edited by: CntrlCalDmax
