What are the first mods you would do to a stock 95 tahoe. Not so much for power, but for better gas mileage and reliability.

JK and others have said that 3 1/2 inch pipe is all that is needed for a moded truck and a good 3 inch for modest mods, so if you can get a good 3 1/2 at a decent price don't over look it. I have a 3 inch which was "IT" durring the time I put it on and it helped.

Intake clean up and gearing if you want to spend the bucks.

Welcome to the site;

1st mod a free one; spend some days in FAQ stickys, pay close attention to the more performance thread, step by step way to add reliability/performance as you can afford it or as your thirst for "MORE POWER" arh-arh-arh grows

yes gut the intake and open up the exhaust, remove and disable the EGR, and a green air filter (k&n sucks a$$) , boost gauge then a mechanical wastegate.
